I am amazed at how well this coat fit my dog! So even though my dog is more of a medium to large usually (athletic built; 22 lbs), he was an XL for this coat. This coat is well made and sturdy. It is not too thick or thin, reminds me of the thickness of some standard/ typical human vest jackets. It should keep my dog warm and I like how his chest is fully covered and not just partially covered with a velcro wrap around strap.
